Overview

IBC MD220-162 Lock Nut (Bearing Locknut) is a precision threaded fastener that secures a bearing axially on a shaft or sleeve. Typical KM and AN series nuts clamp the inner ring, are used with adapter and withdrawal sleeves, and combine with a tab (lock) washer to prevent loosening.

The steel nut has a precision metric (or inch) thread and axial slots; the tab of a lock washer is bent into a slot to lock rotation. KM types pair with MB washers, while AN types use a self-locking feature or a separate locking part.
